Ranabir is a talented architect who has been with Urbahn for over 25 years and a principal since 2016. In addition to the many projects he personally designs, Ranabir steers the overall design direction of the firm and coordinates a range of initiatives.
He regularly leads the planning and design of projects in the fields of higher education, K-12, science + technology, justice, transportation, and historic preservation. In addition, Ranabir is an accomplished master planner and has guided Urbahn’s work on numerous capital planning programs. Ranabir’s projects have been featured in Architectural Record, Architecture + Design, Restoration Directory, and the Journal of the Indian Institute of Architects. In 2015 he was honored by the Society of Indo-American Engineers and Architects.
Ranabir received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Jadavpur University in 1983, and his Master of Architecture degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986. He is a registered architect in New York State. He received his LEED accreditation in 2007.
