Donald E. Henry, Jr

Donn joined Urbahn in the early 1980s and was named Managing Principal in 2012. In this capacity, Donn coordinates corporate initiatives and supervises office operations. A keen advocate of environmental stewardship and the employment of design and construction technologies, Donn is the driving force behind Urbahn’s continual enhancement of staff capability in sustainability, Building Information Modeling and advanced digital visualization. His leadership style is characterized by an unyielding commitment to both the project and client, evidenced by his attention to design excellence, schedule and budget compliance, and document quality.

Through 30 years of experience Donn is recognized for his planning and design od secure facilities, including corrections, juvenile justice, and police facilities.

Donn directs Urbahn’s work in the justice, public safety and K-12 sectors, as well as major civic infrastructure projects. He is a recognized for his planning and design of secure facilities, including corrections, juvenile justice, and police facilities. He believes in the primacy of passive security planning, but is also an expert in electronic security technology.
