USince
joining Urbahn in 1994, Urs Bamert has successfully guided many transportation,
education, and dormitory projects from conception through occupancy
and use. His strength in project management, building technology,
sustainable design, and historic restoration has helped clients with
complex operating and phasing requirements achieve their goals.
His major projects include the Jersey City Public Safety Communications
Center, GRVC Dormitory Addition, NYCT White Plains Road Rehabilitation
and Restoration of six stations, NYCT Lexington Avenue station rehabilitation,
NJT Newark City Subway Accessibility Improvements, LIRR Forest Hills
station, SUNY Stony Brook Apartment Housing, and the Schomburg Charter
School.
Urs has been registered in New York as an Architect since 1991 and
is a LEED Accredited Professional. He is an active member of the AIA,
US Green Building Council, and the Society of American Military Engineers.
He holds a diploma of the Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich,
