As part of a program to
encourage biotechnology entrepeneurism in the New York, the
State University Construction Fund developed this laboratory facility
at the Farmingdale State College campus.
Urbahn was the design lead of a Design/Build team for Incubator 1,
the first building in the complex. It includes 62 labs, a conference
center and lab support spaces
Urbahn is currently developing the preliminary design for Incubator
2, the second building at the Park. This will include 50 additional
labs, plus support space.
The BioScience Center has become an important edifice at Farmingdale
State College with its prominent location on the heavily-trafficked
Route 110.
