The new RCPC will be a highly
innovative center in the treatment of children's psychiatry. The 104,000
sf facility will include 56-beds divided into four "cottages",
along with educational, recreational and treatment facilities. All
the spaces
will feed off of a "Main Street" a large commons area
Interaction with parents and family members is an important component of the
treatment and the facility includes a Family Hospitality Center, which includes
two apartment units, in
a
former
chapel building adjacent to the new building. The design also includes outdoor
spaces
for
various
recreational
and therapeutic functions.
