With over three decades of experience, Nat Barranco directs Urbahn’s Higher Education and Transportation groups. Nat is well known for his hands-on management approach which allows him to bring in our most challenging projects on time and within budget. He has completed numerous rail transit stations, university housing, academic research and science buildings, and healthcare facilities throughout New York and New Jersey.
One of Nat’s most valuable skills is finding accord among various constituencies within multi-faceted client groups. Nat draws on his extensive experience and knowledge of building systems, construction practices, and project-delivery methods to guide large multi-disciplined teams toward innovative, sustainable, constructible, and cost effective solutions. Nat immerses himself in each of his projects, ensuring the highest level of quality and attention to design, construction administration, schedule adherence, cost control, and code compliance.
Nat has been a principal at Urbahn since 1988. In addition to his project work, he also serves as Urbahn’s Chief Financial Officer. Nat received his Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and is a registered architect in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
